In which, the export of wood products is estimated at 851 million USD, up 60.5% compared to August 2021.

Generally, in the first 8 months of 2022, the export value of wood and wood products is estimated at 11.07 billion USD, an increase of 6.2% over the same period in 2021. In which, the export of wood products is estimated at 7.77 billion USD, down 3% over the same period in 2021.

Value wood export and wooden product increased sharply in August 2022 because in August 2021 the export value of wood and wood products was low, affected by the outbreak of disease, causing production and wood export interrupted due to factory closures due to social distancing.

At the present time, the impact of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, causing high energy prices, affects transportation costs and input material prices increase, which leads to an increase in the cost of export products as well. is the factor that makes the export value in August 2022 increase sharply compared to the same period in 2021.

At the press conference of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Tran Quang Bao - Deputy Director of the General Department of Forestry - said that the growth of wood industry in the first 8 months of the year was slower than the same period in 2021. However, the product price increased, so the export turnover still inched up to 6%.
